Due to its postponement last May, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the very much anticipated Portugal Smart Cities Summit returns this month, between 22nd and 24th of September, both physically, (:at the CCL (Lisbon Congress Center) and virtually. Participation in both versions is free, but subject to registration, and physical participation implies following DGS security rules.
The annual event of Fundação AIP, organizer of FIL's fairs, brings together several players, such as large companies, startups, municipalities, academics, researchers and public entities, to debate the future of the various sectors that can create the true smart cities of the future.
The concept of 'smart city' covers more than mobility, digital platforms or sustainability - a fundamental objective is the incorporation of all these areas in order to improve the lives of citizens in the world today. This year particularly, the event will focus on the health and well-being of populations in urban centers.
More than 9000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and 90 speakers will discuss throughout the three days of the congress the organization inside the cities of the world, projecting to the upcoming decades.

Speaking of tech fairs this time of the year, we are about to discover London Tech Week full series kicking off from the 1st to the 11th of September 2020. A full house in themes and variations on the AI, SmartTech and beyond, following up the bright path forged by the pioneers of Web Summit (:this year from 2 to 4/12/2020: stay tuned because it is going to be held online and it is going to be as brilliant as ever), LTW offers lots of different ventures, discoveries, discussions and certainly dense networking- all from a safe distance since the platform/event is also virtually accessible.
